Summer Academic Advisor – EmpowerSTEAM Program
The YWCA NCA is seeking energetic and highly engaged undergraduate and graduate students, or recent college graduates to serve as Academic Advisors for our EmpowerSTEAM Summer Academy. EmpowerSTEAM is a 5-week, interactive, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics summer program for girls ages 10-17. The Academic Advisor for the EmpowerSTEAM Program will provide supervision for program participants at all times (during class sessions, program activities, lunch breaks and field trips). Academic Advisors are expected to serve as leaders, mentors, care-takers and role models throughout the program, and are integral in creating a nurturing academic community that is responsive to the social and emotional needs of the program participants. NOTE: EmpowerSTEAM will be held in person at the Josephine Butler Parks Center from July 5 – August 4, 2023. Training for EmpowerSTEAM staff members will be held at the YWCA NCA Headquarters from June 26-30, 2023.

Summer STEAM Instructor – EmpowerSTEAM Program
The YWCA NCA is seeking skilled and energetic middle or high school teachers to serve as instructors for our EmpowerSTEAM Summer Academy. EmpowerSTEAM is a 5-week, interactive, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics summer program for girls ages 10-17. The Summer STEAM Instructors will provide instruction for a period of two-weeks, to a group of students using a pre-determined curriculum in week one, and a curriculum they develop in week two. Instructors are expected to serve as leaders, mentors and role models, and are integral in creating a nurturing academic community that is responsive to the social and emotional needs of the program participants. Office Coordinator
The Office Coordinator is an integral member of our team, ensuring that office operations run smoothly and performing a variety of day-to-day administrative tasks. Primary responsibilities include managing the front-desk, greeting all students and visitors, answering the mail telephone lines, providing information to callers regarding YWCA NCA programs and the registration process, and registering students for classes and programs. The Office Coordinator performs administrative functions, coordinates IT support services and oversees maintenance projects for the facility. To apply, submit cover letter & résumé to hr@ywcanca.org.
