Integrated Education & Training Instructor – Language Arts P/T

The Language Arts Integrated Education & Training (IET) Instructor must be experienced in providing literacy instruction to a wide variety of learners, including English as a Second Language learners. She/he is responsible for developing and teaching concurrent & contextual work force and basic skills to adult learners. The Instructor creates lesson plans that include real-life contextual learning experiences, serves learners at varied academic levels and meets diverse student needs. The Instructor will integrate the use of technology into the lessons, as well as utilize varied curriculum resources.

Integrated Education & Training Instructor – Workforce Development/Hospitality Instructor – P/T

The Workforce Development/Hospitality IET Instructor must be experienced in providing instruction in workforce development leading to certifications in the Hospitality industry. She/he must also be able to provide instruction to a wide variety of learners, with various academic needs, including English as a Second Language learners. She/he will be responsible for developing and teaching concurrent & contextual workforce and basic skills to adult learners, creating lesson plans utilizing the hospitality curriculum, including real-life contextual learning experiences in the Hospitality industry. The Instructor will integrate the use of technology into the lessons, as well as utilize varied curriculum resources.

Data Management Administrator – P/T

The Data Management Administrator will lead the data collection, outcome analysis and evaluation of results related to the YWCA National Capital Area Programs. In close partnership with the Chief Program Officer, the Data Management Administrator will establish relevant metrics that demonstrate measurable outcomes to stakeholders; and continuously audit systems to ensure data integrity. The Data Management Administrator will be responsible for researching and selecting the appropriate systems for the YWCA NCA’s needs, providing training and technical assistance to staff; and advancing a data-driven culture.

Social Worker/Workshop Facilitator – PT/Contract

The Social Worker/Workshop Facilitator is responsible for facilitating a series of financial empowerment workshops at local-area shelters for survivors of domestic violence. Responsibilities include preparing curriculum support materials, scheduling workshops, delivering the “Purple Purse” curriculum, facilitating question and answer sessions with program participants and maintaining program and attendance records. Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to multiple program sites. Most sessions are held in the evenings 6:00-8:00 pm, with occasional afternoon sessions.

The Integrated Education & Training (IET) Computer Literacy Instructor must be experienced in providing computer literacy instruction to a wide variety of learners, including English as a Second Language learners. She/he is responsible for the delivery of educational curriculum and industry knowledge to adult learners in a classroom setting. Must be able to create lesson plans that include
real-life contextual learning experiences and be able to serve learners at varied academic levels and meet diverse student needs. Must also be able to integrate the use of technology into the lessons, as well as utilize varied curriculum resources.
