  • Career Education & Training - Part-time Case Manager

The YWCA National Capital Area is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Case Manager to assist in the coordination and management of our program activities. In this role, you will be responsible for student recruitment, intake screenings, assessment, and providing support to help individuals overcome barriers to success. If you are passionate about making a difference and want to be part of a team that empowers women, families, and communities, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct intakes, assessments, and create individualized career plans for students.

  • Facilitate referrals to community resources to support academic and job training transitions.

  • Document progress and maintain accurate records.

  • Summer Learning Specialist – EmpowerSTEAM Program

The YWCA NCA is seeking a highly engaged Summer Learning Specialist (SLS) for our EmpowerSTEAM Summer Academy.  EmpowerSTEAM is a 5-week, interactive, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics summer program for girls ages 10-17.  The Summer Learning Specialist will assist the Manager, Youth Programs, with the implementation of the EmpowerSTEAM program.  The SLS will provide supervision for program participants and support for our Summer Program Specialists. EmpowerSTEAM will be held in person at the Josephine Butler Parks Center from June 30 – August 1, 2025. Training for EmpowerSTEAM staff members will be held at the YWCA NCA Headquarters from June 23-27, 2025.

  • Summer Program Specialist– EmpowerSTEAM Program

The YWCA NCA is seeking energetic and highly engaged undergraduate and graduate students, or recent college graduates to serve as Summer Program Specialists for our EmpowerSTEAM Summer Academy. EmpowerSTEAM is a 5-week, interactive, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics summer program for girls ages 10-17. The Summer Program Specialist will provide supervision for program participants at all times (during class sessions, program activities, lunch breaks and field trips). EmpowerSTEAM will be held in person at the Josephine Butler Parks Center from June 30 – August 1, 2025. Training for EmpowerSTEAM staff members will be held at the YWCA NCA Headquarters from June 23-27, 2024.

  • Summer STEAM Instructor – EmpowerSTEAM Program

The YWCA NCA is seeking a skilled and energetic middle or high school teacher to serve as an instructor for our EmpowerSTEAM Summer Academy. EmpowerSTEAM is a 5-week, interactive, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics summer program for girls ages 10-17. The Summer STEAM Instructor will provide instruction to a group of students using pre-determined curricula. Instructors are expected to serve as leaders, mentors, caretakers and role models throughout the program and are integral in creating a nurturing academic community that is responsive to the social and emotional needs of the program participants. EmpowerSTEAM will be held in person at Josephine Butler Parks Center from June 30 – August 1, 2025. This position will support the program for weeks two, three, and four, from July 7-25, 2025

  • Summer Meals Coordinator– EmpowerSTEAM Program

The YWCA NCA is seeking an energetic and organized Summer Meals Coordinator to be part of our EmpowerSTEAM Summer Academy Team. EmpowerSTEAM is a 5-week, interactive, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics summer program for girls ages 10-17.  The Summer Meals Coordinator will receive, organize, and serve breakfast and lunch for participants as part of the DC Summer Meals Program. EmpowerSTEAM will be held at the Josephine Butler Parks Center from June 30 – August 1, 2025.
