Our Work is Volunteer Powered
Volunteers play a key role in our work. The success of our programs would not be possible without them. Tutor an adult preparing for a test. Build a lasting relationship as a mentor. Gain useful skills while providing meaningful service to your neighbors. Join us as a volunteer.
How You Can Volunteer:
Tutors: Work one-on-one with a student in our Career Education and Training Center. Tutors work directly with staff and student to set meeting schedule.
Mentors: Make a lasting impact with our EmpowerGirls. Mentors work directly with middle and high school girls. You can read more about becoming an EmpowerGirls mentor here.
Be an Advocate: Are you committed to eliminating racism & empowering women? Support our racial, social & gender justice work! Reach out to Sarah Graham at sgraham@ywcanca.org for more details.
Volunteer training:
Each volunteer opportunity includes training to prepare for success. Ongoing training and skill-building sessions provide experience to take beyond the volunteer setting.
