Program Overview

The YWCA WE360 Business Essentials Program is a self-guided program designed to support early stage entrepreneurs with step-by-step training to help them launch and grow a business.

The program, in partnership with Ureeka, starts with a simple Needs Assessment after registration and then the basics of setting up a business, followed by a five phase program that covers everything from business planning, setting and reaching goals, customer development and understanding the competitive landscape.

The program includes templates that allow participants to build a business plan as they move through the coursework.

Program Learning Format + Curriculum

The YWCA WE 360 program is divided into the following five chapters.

  1. Business Planning
  2. Creating Business Value
  3. How to Crush your Goals
  4. Buyers Journey Mapping
  5. Competitive Analysis

Each chapter consists of short digestible lessons that will take participants through the step-by-step process of launching a business — from concept to execution (program syllabus is detailed below).

Each lesson is no longer than 10 minutes long which gives participants the opportunity to go through the program at their own pace and repeat the content if necessary until they fully grasp the concepts. This is especially helpful when there is a slight language and/or literacy barrier, as they can work with their program directors to make sure they understand the content.

Program Participant Support

We are providing 6 weeks of Business Coaching Support to the entrepreneurs through Weekly Coaching Office Hours. We will have a minimum of 4 coaches who can work with the participants on building and executing their business plans. Participants will be grouped into coaching cohorts based on business stage and needs.

We are also providing 6 weeks of Mentorship Support to the entrepreneurs who need added guidance and resources, along with the following:

  • 1:1 mentor sessions to help them spot-solve problems and clear business hurdles
  • Specialty Chat Groups (i.e. Business Builders, LatinX, Grow Customers, etc.)
  • Themed content through our ‘Join the Conversation’ initiative to help them level up their skill sets
  • Additional programming and digital assessments
