Talking about race with youth can often be daunting for communities. Join YWCA National Capital Area on September 18, 2019 for our next Courageous Conversation called “Talking About Race At All Ages: A Dialogue with Young People, Elders & All Those in Between.” This discussion will focus on how different generations feel race, racism and their experiences about navigating systems of injustice.

This is an all-ages event. Youth and their families are encouraged to attend and participate. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner & discussion beginning at 6 p.m.

This workshop is part of a series of activities YWCA National Capital Area plans for this year – for community dialogue, education, and to empower each of us to take an active role in dismantling racism. Through facilitated conversations, we will explore the dynamics of race, bias, and inequity. Share and learn from your neighbors. We are stronger together in the work to eliminate racism and empower women.
