Washington, DC–The YWCA National Capital Area is proud to welcome three new members to its Board of Directors. All were approved unanimously by existing board members at a November 2022 meeting.
YWCA NCA welcomes new board members including:
Regan Lamb is the Chief Operating Officer at Linder Global Events, a woman-owned, Washington, D.C.-based, global event management company. As COO, Lamb and her team support purposeful and passion-driven organizations through superior customer service, strategic consultation, creative solutions, and flawless execution that result in the transformation of lives through the power of events. A mission-driven leader with more than 25 years of experience, she has dedicated her career to making a difference in the lives of the people and communities she leads and serves.
Sherrie Saint-Amant was most recently a workforce development and community relations manager for a major retailer. She supported store management teams in sourcing diverse talent from a network of community employment programs. Sherrie is a founding member of the MA Work Without Limits B2B Network, an affiliate of Disability IN, a national organization uniting businesses around disability inclusion in the workplace, supply chain and marketplace.
Anupa Upadhyay is a Managing Director at Accenture. Over her career, she has lived and worked all over the world helping Fortune 500 companies transform their businesses. Anupa helps organizations achieve profitable growth by delivering complex transformation programs. Throughout her career, she has learned that these programs cannot be a success without high-performing, diverse teams. Building those teams and the next generation of leaders is her passion, and the core focus of her day-to-day work. Anupa serves as a leader in the DC Women’s Employee Resource Group.

Regan Lamb
Regan Lamb is the Chief Operating Officer at Linder Global Events, a woman-owned, global event management company based in Washington, D.C. As COO, Ms. Lamb and her team support purposeful and passion-driven organizations through superior customer service, strategic consultation, creative solutions, and flawless execution that result in the transformation of lives through the power of events.
As a mission-driven leader with a demonstrated talent for advancing organizational and business objectives, Ms. Lamb, has over two decades of experience in collaborative leadership, project management, community engagement, marketing, strategic communications, program development, business growth, and organizational and team development.
Before joining Linder, she was the Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at OTM Partners, an integrated marketing and communications firm specializing in developing and managing nationally branded communications and public awareness programs with a focus on corporate social responsibility. Before joining OTM Partners, Ms. Lamb held several leadership roles, including Executive Vice President of Program Development, Managing Director of Education Operations, and Chief People Officer at Envision EMI. This leading experiential organization runs career exploration and leadership development programs for students in elementary school through college.
A graduate of American University’s School of International Service in Washington, DC, she resides in Northern Virginia with her family, is an active member of her community, a Girl Scout Troop Leader, former president of the AMADC (American Marketing Association DC Chapter), and a member of the Leadership Greater Washington Signature 2022 class.

Sherrie discovered early in her career the power of community based organizations to effect positive change. As a YWCA Youth Director, she organized and coordinated activities for rural youth in Maine. While in this role, Sherrie started learning how she personally and in collaboration with others could work at eliminating racism. This focus was transformative and continues to inform how she shows up at work, in her community and with family and friends. Over the past 50 years, Sherrie has contributed thousands of volunteer hours to community based racial justice work in Maine, New York City and the Boston area.
Sherrie is a founder of the Melrose, MA Human Rights Commission and the Melrose Alliance Against Violence, a past director of the Melrose Affordable Housing Corporation, the North Shore Workforce Investment Board (WIB) in Salem, MA, and YW Boston. In addition to serving on the board of directors of YWCA National Capital Area, Sherrie is currently a trustee of Riverview School in Sandwich, MA, and a director of the Martha’s Vineyard Camp Meeting Association.
Sherrie has a degree in International Relations from Clark University. She lives in Washington, DC, and spends summers in her family’s cottage in Oak Bluffs.
Anupa Upadhyay

Outside of that work, Anupa serves as a co-chair for the Greater Washington Apprenticeship Network (GWAN). GWAN is an employer-led network that focuses on collaboration between academic institutions and the public and private sectors to build awareness and share best practices to advance the professional apprenticeship movement, with the goal of ultimately opening recruiting doorways to a wider talent pool and more equally distributing career opportunities within the Northern Virginia community.
Anupa participated in the Leadership Greater Washington’s (LGW) Signature Program, where she continues to learn from incredible leaders in the DC metro area about the city, our challenges, and opportunities for improvement. Additionally, she volunteers at Junior Achievement and with the Covenant House.
Anupa has a bachelor’s degree from the Pennsylvania State University. She lives in Washington D.C. and enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling and cooking—and is always interested in learning new things.
