Holocaust Remembrance Day

Categories: Blog, News

Today on Holocaust Remembrance Day, we honor the more than six million people who were senselessly killed at the hands of extremist and antisemitic leaders nearly 80 years ago. We’ve certainly come a long way since then, but we can’t ignore the ways in which anti-semitism, racism, xenophobia, sexism, and homophobia still penetrate our institutions and threaten our communities globally, nationally, and here in the DC area.

YWCA National Capital Area is dedicated to combating these threats by promoting equity, justice, and peace, and we stand with our Jewish brothers and sisters today and every day. We invite you to join us in remembering the lives lost in the Holocaust, and reaffirming our collective commitment to a better, more just world.
