Happy International Women’s Day. Today, we are called to take time to honor and bring forward the ways in which women show up for all of us.
In Public Office: Let us start with the halls of government and law-making bodies. More women are serving in public office than ever before, but we all know there is more room at the table. Interested in running for public office? She Should Run can help make that a reality.
At the Ballot Box: Women continue to show up in large numbers at the ballot box. In every U.S. presidential election dating back to 1984, women reported having turned out to vote at slightly higher rates than men. What women want matters and changes communities. In our YWomenVote 2022 survey, women across the spectrum are united in their support for economic, caregiving, gender-based violence, health, and racial justice policy solutions that address our shared concerns. We invite you to share these findings with your community.
In Service of Our Community: More than two years into the COVID-19 pandemic, women continue to carry the weight of our nation. This weight isn’t new. From frontline care to organizing for justice & voting, women-lead movements make our world better. They deserve access to universal childcare, healthcare, and family leave. Further, it is essential that women have equal rights, feel safe in their communities, and have unfettered access to the ballot box. Make your voice heard and call your representatives today.
For Other Women: Women show up for other women. From rallying for reproductive rights to taking a stand against racism, you can find women supporting other women in their fight for equality and justice. We invite you to join us in the upcoming months for this important work. RSVP to our events below:
