Washington, DC–The YWCA National Capital Area is proud to welcome a new chair and four new members to its Board of Directors. All were approved unanimously by existing board members at a November 2021 meeting.
Tycely Williams, who joined the board in 2021, will serve as the new chair. Williams, a Certified Fundraising Executive, has inspired individuals and institutions in her 25-year career to invest over $135 million dollars in charitable causes. As Chief Development Officer for The Bipartisan Policy Center, she crafts strategies to fuel the best ideas from Democrats and Republicans to promote health, security, and opportunity for all Americans.
“As we enter this new year, I’m excited to lead the YWCA National Capital Area Board of Directors and help support an organization that is close to my personal and professional heart,” Williams said. “The YWCA and its mission to eliminate racism and empower women is more important than ever as our country works towards a more equitable and just nation.”
Along with Williams’ new role, YWCA NCA welcomes new board members including:
- Torine Creppy is the president of Safe Kids Worldwide, a global nonprofit dedicated to protecting kids from preventable injuries. For nearly 22 years, Creppy has dedicated her career to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families, especially the most vulnerable. As president of Safe Kids, she works with partners, donors, legislators, and community leaders around the world to develop and implement strategic initiatives, create partnerships, and inspire behavior change to keep kids safe at home, on the road and at play.
- Jennifer Druliner is the Vice President, Governance for the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI), advising both organizations’ boards of directors and their executive staff teams. Druliner also oversees policy compliance for USGBC’s volunteer committees working to develop the LEED® green building rating system. Prior to joining USGBC, she oversaw programs and managed board relations at the Association for Conflict Resolution, a nonprofit created from the merger of several conflict resolution-focused membership organizations, including the Conflict Resolution Education Network, where she had served as Associate Director before the merger.
- Tania Galarza is the Senior Director, Marketing Strategy at Marriott International. Over her career, Galarza has worked across several industries including financial services, non-profit consulting and hospitality. With a passion for strategy and marketing, she’s helped position organizations to best serve their customers and stakeholders. Since 2012, she has worked at Marriott’s global headquarters in Bethesda, MD. Her focus has been supporting the Marketing organization in meeting its vision by managing direct reports, cross functional teams, consultants and agencies.
- Jennifer Han is the Executive Vice President, Chief Counsel and Head of Regulatory Affairs at Managed Funds Association (MFA). Han is responsible for strategy and execution of the Association’s U.S. regulatory advocacy and leads MFA’s regulatory engagement. She joined MFA in 2006 as legal counsel and has served in a few different capacities before joining MFA’s executive leadership team. Prior to joining MFA, she was a staff attorney in the Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations at the SEC, where she conducted inspections and examinations, and advised on legal and compliance matters relating to developments in securities regulations and industry practices.

Tycely Williams

Tycely most recently served as Chief Development Officer for America’s Promise Alliance, the largest alliance of youth-serving organizations in the U.S. She’s also advanced philanthropy as vice president of development of YWCA USA, as the chief development officer for the American Red Cross National Capital Region, an association director of major gifts for the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington, a director of development for two health and human services organizations, the artistic director of two community-based dance studios, and the executive director for a nonprofit organization founded by a Fortune 500 company.
A cum laude graduate of Wake Forest University, Williams holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication with distinguished departmental honors and a minor in Journalism. Tycely possesses an Executive Master’s in Leadership from The McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. She’s completed postgraduate work at Boston University (Professional Fundraising Program),
Duke University (Nonprofit Management Program), and Georgetown University (New Strategies-Business for Impact). Currently, Tycely teaches Fundraising & Leadership at The Pennsylvania University.
As a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Global Board of Directors, she leads the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access Committee. She is a past president of the AFP Washington DC Metro Chapter, and the inaugural chair of AFP’s Women’s Impact Initiative.
In addition, she chairs the governing boards of Monument Academy Public Charter School, the Nonprofit Alliance Foundation, Rising Media Stars; and YWCA National Capital Area, while representing the not-for-profit sector as a member of The Blackbaud Giving Fund Board of Directors.

Torine Creppy

Under Ms. Creppy’s leadership, the Safe Kids Buckle Up® program has evolved into the most comprehensive child passenger safety program in the world and the Safe Kids pedestrian safety program has reached more that 20 million children in 10 countries. Ms. Creppy is a passionate advocate on Capitol Hill and is dedicated to finding new ways to reach high-risk and underserved communities. She also focuses on emerging issues such as child safety in automated vehicles.
In addition to her work at Safe Kids, Ms. Creppy is committed to other organizations who share her passion for helping children and families. She is on the YWCA National Capital Area Board of Directors, on the Board of Directors Advisory Board of Hop Skip Drive, a Lifesavers Board Member and Vice?President Board Member of St. Mary’s of the Assumption Home and School Association. She is also a member of the American Public Health Association, National Urban League, NAACP, the National Head Start Association, Junior League of Washington, a Lifetime member of Leadership Greater Washington, and a Chief Member.
Ms. Creppy enjoys volunteering in direct outreach and advocacy for homelessness initiatives, reading autobiographies, 5K marathons for causes, youth mentoring and spending time with her teenage son.
Ms. Creppy lives with her family in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
Jennifer Druliner
Jennifer K. Druliner has helped nonprofits large and small to strengthen their organizational effectiveness. Currently, she serves as Vice President, Governance for the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and Green Business Certification Inc. Jennifer holds a Master’s Degree in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from American University’s School of International Service. She earned a Fulbright Scholarship to study in Vienna, Austria, and holds a B.A. in History and a minor in German from The College of Wooster. A resident of the District of Columbia, Jennifer is a former board member and longtime supporter of Miriam’s Kitchen and a member of Western Presbyterian Church.
Tania Galarza
Over her career, Tania has worked across several industries including financial services, non-profit consulting and hospitality. With a passion for strategy and marketing, she’s helped position organizations to best serve their customers and stakeholders. In her roles, she’s enjoyed working closely with leadership to align on priorities and find solutions to business challenges. Her achievements have ranged from building multi-year strategic plans to developing customer centric go-to-market strategies for multi-brand portfolios that drive the business today and for the future.
Since 2012, Tania has worked at Marriott’s global headquarters in Bethesda, MD. Her focus has been supporting the Marketing organization in meeting its vision by managing direct reports, cross functional teams, consultants and agencies. Driving strategy at Marriott, she currently helps Marketing leadership align on global priorities for investing enterprise wide marketing dollars. Prior to Marriott, Tania was a Managing Consultant at McKinley Advisors, partnering with Executives and board of directors of professional and trade associations to build and execute marketing strategies in support of organizational goals.
Outside of her daily work, Tania serves as a board member of the Marriott Employee Federal Credit Union whose mission is to deliver affordable financial services to all Marriott employees and their families. She has recently joined the YWCA National Capital Area Board of Directors and is also a member of the McDonough MBA Alumni Advisory Board, serving as the Mentorship Program subcommittee chair.
Tania has a BBA in Finance from Southern Methodist University and a MBA focused on Marketing & Strategy from Georgetown University.
Jennifer Han
Jennifer Han is the Executive Vice President, Chief Counsel and Head of Regulatory Affairs at Managed Funds Association (MFA). Jennifer is responsible for strategy and execution of the Association’s U.S. regulatory advocacy and leads MFA’s regulatory engagement. She advises MFA members on legal, regulatory and compliance changes and/or guidance impacting the alternative investment industry, including investment advisers, commodity trading advisors and commodity pool operators. She has extensive experience working with policy makers and regulators, such as throughout the 2008 financial crisis, post-crisis and to refinement of today’s regulatory framework. She engages regularly with legislative policy makers and regulators, including the SEC, CFTC, Department of Treasury, Federal Reserve, NFA, ESMA, UK FCA and IOSCO, among many others.
Jennifer joined MFA in 2006 as legal counsel and has served in a few different capacities before joining MFA’s executive leadership team. Prior to joining MFA, Jennifer was a staff attorney in the Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations at the SEC, where she conducted inspections and examinations, and advised on legal and compliance matters relating to developments in securities regulations and industry practices. Jennifer began her legal career as an associate with Pickard and Djinis LLP, a boutique securities law firm in Washington, D.C. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University and her Juris Doctor from American University. While in law school, she was an Editor of the American University International Law Review. Jennifer is a member in good standing of the D.C. and Virginia Bars.
Jennifer serves on the Washington D.C. Committee of 100 Women in Finance, and recently joined the Board of Directors for the YWCA National Capital Area.
